Dive Brief:
- Krauszer’s Food Stores has named National Retail Solutions as its official point-of-sale provider, the convenience retailer announced last week.
- The move aims to standardize operations across Krauszer’s 300-plus stores in the Northeast, as well as help provide a foundation to pursue a nationwide expansion, the company said in the release.
- Krauszer’s is the latest convenience retailer changing POS providers this year, joining Pilot Company, which tapped NCR Voyix, and Huck’s Market, which is working with Tote.ai.
Dive Insight:
Krauszer’s locations are all independently owned and had previously used a variety of point of sale technologies. They will now use NRS’ technology, which will help ensure a more consistent experience for both workers and shoppers across its stores, which can be found in New Jersey and Connecticut.
The NRS POS system offers these sites an array of features, including integrated loyalty programs, granular inventory tracking, multistore management and e-commerce websites with online ordering, according to the announcement.
“NRS offers the robust architecture we need to manage hundreds of stores while keeping the system intuitive enough for our franchisees to use every day,” said Daniel Shah of Krauszer’s Food Stores. “Consistency is vital as we grow the brand into new states.”
Krauszer’s, which was founded more than 100 years ago in New Jersey, is looking to expand beyond its two-state base and add “hundreds” of stores in the coming years, a spokesperson said in an email.
