Dive Insight:
With foodservice making up about 36% of inside sales for convenience retailers in 2025, according to NACS data, Loop’s deal with Krispy Krunchy Chicken is a way to help those 12 sites target that piece of the pie.
“Loop Neighborhood is known for redefining the convenience store experience with premium offerings and customer-centric service,”said Brett Yates, vice president of chain and business development for Krispy Krunchy Chicken , adding, “By integrating Krispy Krunchy Chicken’s proven hot food program, Loop can attract new customer segments, increase dwell time, and drive repeat visits.”
Krispy Krunchy Chicken’s menu includes fried chicken, tenders, a Cajun chicken sandwich, nuggets, wings, honey biscuits and sides.
While 12 locations are getting Krispy Krunchy Chicken, several other locations in Loop’s 63-store footprint in California already have a chicken menu in the form of Crunchy Munchy, a QSR owned by Loop and Poppy Market CEO Varish Goyal, according to the company website.
Several retailers have also updated their foodservice programs in the last couple months, including Pilot, which is revamping its proprietary program, and BrakeTime, which is making franchise agreements with Little Caesars and Burger King.
