Dive Brief:
- Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores has deployed ordering kiosks at all of its Arby’s restaurants across the U.S., according to a company announcement.
- The kiosks, developed by technology company Bite, feature tablet touchscreens that aim to improve order accuracy, reduce operating costs and improve the customer experience, Love’s said in its announcement. They’re deployed at all 112 of Love’s Arby’s restaurants across 30 states.
- This coincides with Love’s ongoing $1 billion investment into remodeling and updating its stores to have a more modern look and feel, a program that the retailer launched over two years ago.
Dive Insight:
Love’s has made Arby’s — its third-largest restaurant chain behind Subway and Godfather’s Pizza — a point of focus in 2025. Earlier this year, the Oklahoma City-based convenience retailer launched an order-ahead service at all of its Arby’s restaurants to offer customers more flexibility.
That mission to ease customers’ ordering experiences at Arby’s is continuing with the new kiosks, which also support ordering in both English and Spanish and offer images of every menu item, in addition to suggesting limited-time promotions and recommendations.
The kiosks integrate with Love’s existing technology at Arby’s, including the order-ahead service that’s available through the retailer’s mobile app, point of sale and loyalty rewards.
“By streamlining the ordering process, our team members can dedicate more time to food preparation, optimizing the customer experience and driving loyalty,” said Joe Cotton, vice president of foodservice for Love’s. “It’s another way Love’s helps customers get back on the road quickly.”
Love’s said it plans to bring the kiosks to more QSR concepts this year, although it didn’t clarify which ones and when. Love’s has hundreds of QSRs in its network of over 660 travel centers, which also include restaurant chains like Dairy Queen, Carl’s Jr., Naf Naf Grill, Bojangles and Burger King.
