Pilot has named Jorge Valdes senior vice president of operations, Valdes said in a LinkedIn post last week.
He initially joined Pilot in October 2023 as VP of operations excellence, according to his LinkedIn bio. He took on his new role in September.
Valdes came to Pilot from appliance and electronics manufacturer Regal Rexnord, where he served as VP and general manager of Americas motors. Prior to that, he spent more than 17 years across a number of roles with marine recreation and boating company Brunswick, where he managed the construction of various boat production facilities in Brazil and developed and expanded its dealer network in the country.
Valdes notably became president of the Harris and Cypress Cay brands in 2016. He was replaced as managing director for Brunswick Boats Brazil at the time by Brad Anderson, who ended up joining Pilot Company in 2019. Anderson is currently Pilot’s president of retail.
Representatives from Pilot did not respond by press time to questions about what Valdes’ priorities would be or who he reports to.
Pilot has made multiple leadership moves this year. The company appointed Kari Irons as vice president of brand marketing in March, shifted Anderson from chief operating officer to president of retail and named Jesús Guerra as the next president of its energy division.
