Alimentation Couche-Tard, parent company of Circle K, spent much of 2025 in the spotlight thanks to its bid to buy fellow convenience store giant Seven & i, the owner of 7-Eleven.
That plan didn’t come to fruition, but Couche-Tard hasn’t let that slow it down. A primary focus for the company has been revamping its foodservice program, from growing its value meals to streamlining the menu. And it seems to be working, with foodservice penetration increasing 72 basis points year over year as of February.
The retailer has also made in-store tech updates and continued pursuing store count growth. While Couche-Tard is open to M&A, it also has an ambitious organic growth goal to build hundreds of new stores in the next few years.
The company has also made several major executive moves, including losing major food and strategy leaders and promoting three alums to new food-focused roles.
Below is a selection of our Couche-Tard coverage from the last few months highlighting some of the company’s biggest initiatives and changes.
