- Loop Neighborhood Market has refreshed its mobile app, which is now available for both loyalty and non-loyalty members to use, a spokesperson for the convenience store chain confirmed.
- The app’s features include the ability to connect with Loop’s new car wash subscription program, exclusive in-app offers and games to earn and redeem points on in-store purchases. The mobile app was built with the help of c-store app developer Rovertown, according to a LinkedIn post from Loop.
- This continues a busy period on the innovation front for Loop, which introduced its electric vehicle charging program and opened its first small-format arena c-store in 2023.
The revamp of Loop’s mobile app builds on the c-store industry’s growing focus on app development over the past year. Not only did major players like 7-Eleven and Casey’s General Stores remodel their existing apps, but smaller companies like Dash In and Coen Markets debuted their first mobile options as well.
Loop’s new mobile app lets customers sign up for the retailer’s car wash subscription program or purchase individual washes, Pervez Pir, president of retail for Loop, said in a statement.
Loop’s team of Pir; Sanjit Bajimaya, director of information technology; and Danielle Guerra, social media marketing manager, spent “months” working on the app with Rovertown and c-store technology firm Liquid Barcodes, according to the LinkedIn announcement.
Rovertown’s customizable platform lets c-store retailers build branded mobile apps and make their own updates in real time. Apps built through Rovertown can integrate with any technology vendor and feature hyper-local marketing, mobile gaming and support for charitable campaigns.
