NACS has named Lonnie McQuirter, director of operations for 36 Lyn Refuel Station in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as its 2026-2027 chairman, the association announced during the NACS Show on Tuesday.
McQuirter was elected during the NACS board of directors meeting at the association’s annual show in Las Vegas on Oct. 6. As chair, he will lead NACS’ executive committee, which provides strategic direction and financial oversight for the association.
McQuirter succeeds Annie Gauthier, co-CEO and chief financial officer of St. Romain Oil, who assumed the role at last year’s NACS show. Gauthier remains on NACS’ executive committee, according to Tuesday’s announcement.

McQuirter has worked at 36 Lyn since 2005, focusing on long-term strategy and overall business performance. His father had founded the independent convenience store that year, and McQuirter took over the business in 2007. Through the years, 36 Lyn has become one of the nation’s best-known single-store operators, recognized for its community engagement, locally sourced products and McQuirter’s involvement in the convenience store industry.
McQuirter has been a NACS member since 2008 and served as chairman of the Minnesota Retailers Association in 2018. Most recently, he served as NACS’ treasurer and has been vice chairman of the association’s legislative committee. He also serves on the Conexxus Board of Directors.
