Dive Insight:
Onvo’s latest move is not only meant to better meet customers’ needs in current markets, but also to “extend its regional reach,” according to the announcement.
“We believe Core-Mark is well positioned to support Onvo’s long-term success,” said Harman Aulakh, vice president of marketing at Onvo. “Together, we aim to build a strong partnership focused on expanding our reach, streamlining operations, and delivering top-tier service to our locations so we can best serve our customers.”
Core-Mark offers foodservice products, marketing programs and technology to around 50,000 locations across the U.S. and Canada from its 37 distribution centers.
The Core-Mark partnership could help Onvo boost its proprietary foodservice program, Food on the Fly, which the company debuted in spring 2024.
