Dive Insight:
When QuikTrip first revealed its plans for the Beehive State in early 2025, the company did not share plans for additional stores in the state. In its announcement on July 31, QuikTrip said a second store is expected to open in December in Springville, with more locations to follow.
The Marriott-Slaterville store offers 16 gas pumps and six high-flow diesel bays for tractor-trailers, along with the company’s QT Kitchens made-to-order foodservice program, which includes pizzas, sandwiches, breakfast foods and grab-and-go options.
The retailer has steadily been introducing its brand to new markets over the past few years. QuikTrip debuted in Ohio in mid-2024 and opened in Nevada later that year. In 2025, the company added Kentucky and Indiana to its states of operation.
With its Utah debut, the Tulsa, Oklahoma-based retailer now has stores in 23 states, with Michigan on the horizon. Between entering new states and expanding in existing markets, the company has grown from around 1,000 locations three years ago to more than 1,250 locations today.
