Dive Brief:
- PAJCO Holdings, doing business as Rhodes Convenience Stores, has appointed Chief Operating Officer Robert Cisneros as company president, effective April 1, the convenience retailer announced this week.
- As president, Cisneros will oversee daily operations of Rhodes’ 33 c-stores across Missouri and Illinois. That includes scaling operational capabilities, advancing fuel and retail performance, elevating customer experience, strengthening leadership development and guiding the company’s long-term growth strategy, according to the announcement.
- Cisneros’ rise to the top of Rhodes comes just six months after he joined the company following nearly 30 years with consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble.
Dive Insight:
Cisneros will succeed Brent Anderson, who is joining the company’s board of directors. Although PAJCO did not share why it decided to make the change atop its leadership team, promoting Cisneros less than a year after his hiring indicates the move may have been in the works since he joined.
Besides leading Rhodes’ c-stores, Cisneros will also spearhead the company’s Imo’s Pizza restaurants and Riverbend Fuels business, according to the announcement.

“Robert’s depth of experience, people-first leadership style, and ability to connect strategy with disciplined execution make him an outstanding fit as we accelerate growth and strengthen our guest experience,” Anderson said in the announcement.
In his nearly three decades at Procter & Gamble, Cisneros held senior roles in global innovation and large-scale manufacturing operations. That included global innovation senior director for the company’s Family Care Paper Products, in which he led cross-market execution and product pipeline development, according to the announcement
