Dive Insight:
Selección 7 expands 7-Eleven’s private label portfolio while tapping into retail consumers’ growing interest in global flavors.
“Every element of Selección 7 has been thoughtfully developed, from the product selection to the vibrant packaging, with the goal of building a product line that feels relevant to customers and communities we serve,” said Brandon Brown, senior vice president of fresh foods and beverages at 7-Eleven in Monday’s announcement.
7-Eleven spotlighted the line’s packaged baked goods in its announcement. Offerings include vanilla and chocolate conchas, which are sweet breads with a frosted topping; mantecadas, fluffy vanilla-flavored muffins sold in four-packs; and panqué con nueces, a loaf-style pound cake with pecans.
“Panqué con Nueces and Vanilla Conchas are already among the lineup’s top-performing items, giving customers more ways to reconnect with flavors they already love or find a new staple,” Brown said.
The launch coincides with 7-Eleven reporting quarterly earnings that showed continued growth in same-store merchandise sales through the year and progress toward its private label growth goals.
7-Eleven plans to launch 220 new proprietary products by the end of fiscal 2026 and has introduced 138 through the first half of the fiscal year, according to parent company Seven & i Holdings’ Q2 earnings presentation. Recent launches also included the retailer’s BiG Flavor Bar and 7-Select Soda.
