Dive Brief:
- GSTV has named Claire Wyatt as its chief growth officer, according to a Wednesday announcement from the c-store video network company.
- Wyatt will oversee GSTV's growth strategy, corporate development, strategic partnerships and “key value creation initiatives,” according to the announcement. She will report directly to CEO Eric Kozik and join the company’s senior leadership team.
- Wyatt’s appointment is the latest in a string of leadership changes for GSTV, which has also named a new CEO, CFO and COO this year.
Dive Insight:
Wyatt joins GSTV from The Trade Desk, where as retail sector lead she worked with major retailers to help them sell ads outside their own websites, according to the announcement.
Before that, she helped design and launch Albertsons Media Collective, the grocer’s retail media arm, and worked as its vice president of business strategy and marketing science, according to the announcement.
Wyatt also held roles with Target’s retail media arm, Roundel, as well as with media company Ovative Group and customer data science firm Dunnhumby.
At GSTV, she will oversee retailer partnerships and retailer strategy and operations teams, focusing on deepening partnerships with major retail media networks.
“We’ve set a clear direction for GSTV’s next phase in retail media. Claire’s job is to turn that strategy into a business,” said Kozik in the release. “She has built retail media from the retailer side and the platform side, and she understands what brands, retailers and networks need from each other.”
GSTV partnered with Casey’s last year to bolster the Casey’s Access retail media network by providing a service that let the c-store chain run branded video content on its fuel dispensers. Kozik said in an interview that GSTV wants to do more of that type of customized solution.
The company’s network reaches about 115 million U.S. adults monthly, according to the announcement.
Wyatt’s appointment continues a year of change for GSTV’s leadership structure. Kozik, who was named interim CEO in April, became the company’s permanent CEO earlier this month. Other C-suite shifts GSTV made this year include naming Craig Abolt as chief financial officer and later adding the chief operating officer role to his plate, promoting Kristina Lutz to chief marketing officer, and naming Aaron Olson as chief technology officer.
Earlier this month, GSTV also added Tiffany Southwell as senior vice president of measurement, customer experience and product; Jeremy Tauber as SVP of client partnerships for the East; and Alyssa Chen as VP of human resources.
