Charles Bergeron has joined Cumberland Farms as vice president of human resources, Bergeron announced via LinkedIn on Wednesday.
“I’m looking forward to working with leaders and teams across the organization to support talent, strengthen culture, and help drive the company’s continued growth and success,” Bergeron said in his post.
Cumberland Farms did not respond by press time to questions about Bergeron’s start date or what his key responsibilities will be.
Bergeron joins Cumberland Farms from Northeast c-store competitor Global Partners, where he worked for close to two years as director of people optimization, according to his LinkedIn profile. In that role, he led an HR strategic initiative portfolio of more than 70 programs, translated these initiatives into executive insights and company-wide communications and advised executive HR leadership in the company.
Before Global Partners, Bergeron held HR leadership roles at several companies, including Walden Local Meat Co., IT Services company Alert Innovation and auto dealer Prime Automotive Group.
“I’m grateful for the opportunities and relationships that have brought me to this point and excited to begin this new chapter,” said Bergeron in the post.
Bergeron joins Cumberland Farms, formerly known as EG Group, as the company prepares to acquire Coen Markets. That deal will add 54 locations to the more than 1,000 Cumberland Farms already has in the U.S.
