Stewart’s Shops has promoted Ryan Faville to vice president of marketing and category management, the Northeast c-store chain announced Thursday.
Faville has managed Stewart’s Shops’ purchasing and category management teams since 2015. In the new role, he will oversee the company’s marketing and category management teams, with an emphasis on expanding Stewart’s brand and looking for opportunities to strengthen its offerings.
Faville joined the company in 2008 as an accountant at Stewart’s dairy and distribution center. Five years later, he shifted over to the hauling department, where he led teams that distributed milk, gas and products across the chain. He earned his Class A commercial license around that time in order to better understand the department he worked in, according to the announcement.
“Ryan has been an important part of the Stewart’s team since he joined us right out of college,” Stewart’s Shops President Chad Kiesow said in the announcement. “We have every confidence he will help Stewart’s continue to grow as we expand our footprint and respond to the ever-changing needs and shopping habits of the communities we serve.”
Stewart’s has steadily expanded its footprint through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions, including its 2024 purchase of 45 Jolley stores. This year, it plans to spend $55 million to grow and improve its c-store network, which consists of approximately 400 shops in upstate New York, Vermont and New Hampshire.
