Victor Paterno has been named the 2023-24 NACS chairman, the convenience industry association announced last week.
In his new role, Paterno takes the reins of the world’s largest trade association for convenience and fuel retailers, whose members include over 1,300 retailers and 1,500 suppliers. The organization’s board of directors has 29 members, including three members from outside North America and two members from the organization’s supplier board. The board’s membership includes representatives from both large and small convenience retailers.
Paterno brings more than a decade of experience as CEO of Philippine Seven Corporation to the role, as well as a variety of board experience.
As chairman of the board, Paterno will also lead the NACS executive committee, which “provides strategic direction and financial oversight to the association.”
In addition to the new chairman, NACS named six new retail board members:
- Tom Brennan, chief merchandising officer at Casey’s
- Frederic Chaveyriat, CEO of Mapco Express
- Natalie Morhous, president of RaceTrac
- Stan Reynolds, president of 7-Eleven
- Kristin Seabrook, vice president, chief legal counsel and secretary of Pilot
- Babir Sultan, CEO of FavTrip.
Vito Maurici, senior vice president of sales at McLane Company, will serve as the supplier board representative on the NACS board of directors. David Charles, president of Cash Depot, has been named the 2023-24 chairman of the supplier board.
All appointments became effective on Oct. 3, after the NACS Board of Directors meeting and during the 2023 NACS Show.
