McCain Foods has hired Victoriano Perez Mies as its new chief manufacturing and operations officer, a spokesperson from the frozen food company confirmed to C-Store Dive.
The spokesperson did not respond by press time to further questions about Mies’ appointment. Peter Dawe, president of McCain’s global snacking business, said in a LinkedIn announcement that Mies is joining the company as Dawe focuses more on the snacking business.
“Having spent time with Victor over the past several months, I'm confident his deep operational expertise and people-first leadership style will be a tremendous asset to McCain,” Dawe said in his announcement. “I look forward to partnering closely with him as we continue to support our customers, grow our business, and build for the future.”
According to Mies’ LinkedIn profile, his new role includes global leadership of McCain’s manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, environmental health and safety, quality, procurement and operations functions.
Mies joins McCain after nearly two decades at PepsiCo, where he held a variety of global leadership roles, according to his LinkedIn profile. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of supply chain for Europe. He announced his departure from PepsiCo on LinkedIn in August.
Attila Tamer previously was McCain’s chief manufacturing and operations officer, according to the company’s website. Tamer’s LinkedIn profile indicates that he left the company in early 2025.
Canada-based McCain is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of frozen potato products and a producer of prepared appetizers and snacks. Much of the company’s business is focused on the convenience channel, and its portfolio supports both grab-and-go and made-to-order food programs.
