- Rutter’s, the York, Pennsylvania-based c-store chain, has named Kevan Anderson as its new director of fuels, according to an emailed press release Wednesday.
- Anderson will oversee Rutter’s fuel team, including handling “procurement, retail pricing, compliance, and strategic initiatives,” according to the release.
- This appointment comes as the company gears up for a massive growth push that will expand its footprint significantly and add stores in Delaware and Virginia.
Anderson has worked in the fuel industry for more than nine years, according to the press release. As manager of strategic initiatives at Peapod Digital Labs, a division of grocer Ahold Delhaize, he directed the company’s fuel maintenance and regulatory team, among other responsibilities.
He also worked as the manager of supply optimization for Sunoco from 2014 to 2020, according to his LinkedIn profile.
“Kevan brings a great deal of expertise in fuels to Rutter’s,” said Chris Hartman, vice president of fuels, advertising and development. “With big expansion plans for our chain in the coming years, I believe Kevan will help us continue to elevate our fuels brand.”
Anderson will report directly to Hartman, who held the role until he was promoted in December.
Rutter’s offers its own branded fuel at all locations, with diesel additionally available at 34 of those locations. The company currently operates 84 locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia.
