Dive Brief:
- LV Petroleum has hired Jamie Hubbard as senior vice president of construction and maintenance, the company announced last week.
- Hubbard, who brings more than three decades of experience in areas like construction and procurement, will focus on building high-functioning construction, maintenance and environmental teams to support LV’s expansion plans.
- His hiring comes as the c-store, travel center and QSR operator continues to open new locations in its restaurant network and acquire retail sites across multiple states.
Dive Insight:
LV presents a varied challenge for construction and maintenance teams. The company operates more than 90 travel centers, 30 convenience stores and restaurants under more than 30 banners, all of which have different needs. LV’s ongoing M&A activity also continues to bring sites from other operators on board.
Hubbard previously served as SVP of construction, facilities, environment and procurement with TravelCenters of America — the banner under which many of LV’s travel centers operate. In that role, he led “organizational development, team growth and the implementation of repeatable processes designed to deliver projects safely, on time and on budget,” LV wrote in Hubbard’s bio on the retailer’s website.
Before TA, he spent eight years with Ascena retail group as part of its Procurement Center of Excellence, where he focused on construction, maintenance and energy, according to the announcement. He also spent more than a decade at Burlington Coat Factory in a variety of roles, including VP of procurement.
"LV Petroleum's entrepreneurial culture, focus on customers and commitment to one another immediately stood out to me," Hubbard said in the announcement. "The passion our site teams have for the customer is contagious, and the opportunity to work alongside familiar leaders who are among the best industry experts I've worked with made this an especially exciting next step."
Hubbard is the latest leader LV Petroleum has added to its team this year. After promoting former Chief Operating Officer Kris Roach to CEO in April, the company announced three more leadership moves in May. Monica Androsko was promoted to vice president of brand, mobility and risk; Lisa Stipanovich was promoted to senior marketing director; and Stace Benu became chief talent officer.
