Pilot Company Vice President of Operations Jim Rose has left the travel center chain after nearly nine years, a company spokesperson confirmed.
His last day was July 3.
“Working in travel centers is not for the faint of heart,” Rose wrote in a LinkedIn post last week announcing his departure. “It requires agility, grit, and courage, and it has been a true honor to lead alongside you.”
Rose joined Pilot in late 2017 in a field operations role, according to his LinkedIn bio. He was quickly promoted to senior division director, and took on the division vice president role less than a year after that.
He was promoted to his most recent role nearly three years ago. His recent projects included helping Pilot open its largest travel center to date last year in Stanton, Tennessee.
Rose’s work history also includes stints with retailers Target and Belk.
“Together, we have pushed boundaries, raised the bar, and solidified Pilot’s position as an industry leader,” Rose wrote in his post. “This has been achieved not only through our results but also through the way we support one another.”
Rose did not say what he plans to do next in the post.
Pilot’s spokesperson did not share information about a replacement for Rose but did note that Jorge Valdes, senior vice president of operations, will continue to lead store operations.
