Dive Insight:
The addition of delivery adds complexity to c-stores’ operations, particularly for smaller and mid-sized retailers. Lula handles some facets of the process, making it more attainable for these companies.
"Star Stop is focused on delivering a consistent, reliable customer experience across every location," said Adit Gupta, co-founder and CEO of Lula Commerce. “Lula helps make that possible by handling the operational complexity behind the scenes so store teams can stay focused on running great stores."
Star Stop has more than 140 locations in the Houston, Austin, and San Antonio areas of Texas, according to the announcement. Customers can order items like snacks, packaged beverages and baked goods, according to several stores’ entries on Grubhub and Uber Eats.
Multiple retailers have begun offering delivery in partnership with Lula this year, including Break Time, Chestnut Market, InConvenience and Fast Lane.
