Dive Insight:
AtoB and Comdata join fellow payments solutions like Relay, which recently collaborated with Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, and the DriverDash mobile app, which partnered with Phillips 66, in forging partnerships that add a significant number of pumps to their networks.
The Sunoco partnership spans 5,000 sites in 40 states, including more than 100 truck diesel sites, according to the announcement. Members can also access fuel discounts at Sunoco sites when swiping their fuel cards.
AtoB’s fuel card network now encompasses more than 20,000 gas stations and 2,000 truck stops in the U.S.
7-Eleven’s deal with Comdata, meanwhile, allows customers using that fuel card to access gas and diesel discounts and fueling analytics. Customers can also use Comdata’s fraud-protection tool, OneClick, which locks the card until the driver is at the pump and unlocks it.
Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven operates, franchises or licenses more than 13,000 stores in the U.S. and Canada.
