Warrenton Oil has appointed Dana Moloney as CEO, the Missouri-based convenience retailer and oil company announced via LinkedIn on Wednesday.
Moloney succeeds her aunt, Mary Banmiller, who became the retailer’s chief executive in January 2024. A spokesperson from Warrenton did not respond by press time when asked why Banmiller stepped down.
“As CEO, Dana will guide Warrenton Oil into its next phase of growth while remaining focused on serving our employees, customers, and communities,” Warrenton said in its announcement.
Moloney has worked as a director of several different departments at Warrenton since joining her family’s company in 2014, including foodservice, transportation and finance, according to her LinkedIn bio. She was promoted to chief operating officer in early 2024 and became president of Warrenton's transportation business in early 2025.

This breadth of experience across the business positions Moloney to lead Warrenton and its multiple segments, including its chain of roughly 60 FastLane convenience stores, as smaller retailers continue to navigate a challenging operating environment.
“I know Dana is committed and capable of building on the strong foundation that has made this company successful,” Banmiller said in the announcement.
Moloney represents the third generation of her family to lead Warrenton, continuing a tradition that is becoming less common across the convenience store industry. While many regional chains remain family run, a growing number are either being acquired or turning to outside leadership as fewer younger family members choose to take over the business, industry experts have said.
