Global Partners has opened a new corporate headquarters at 275 Grove St. in Newton, Massachusetts, the convenience retailer and oil company announced this week.
The new headquarters occupies three floors, comprising 125,000 square feet of space — about 75% larger than the company’s previous headquarters in nearby Waltham, Massachusetts.
It has 38 conference rooms, three collaboration spaces and a stadium-style staircase connecting all three floors, along with gathering areas designed to encourage connection throughout the workday, per the announcement. The space also includes areas for hosting customers and partners.
Other amenities include coffee bars on each floor, a snack wall with items available for purchase, the Kendal Kitchen at Riverside cafe, a 24/7 fitness center and an on-site parking garage with more than 1,500 spaces.
Global Partners President and CEO Eric Slifka said the new headquarters “represents a major step forward” for the company, which continues to expand its retail footprint and remain profitable despite geopolitical headwinds.
“We set out to create a space that reflects who we are today, the quality of our people, the strength of the Global Spirit, and the ambition we have for the future,” Slifka said in the announcement. “A tremendous amount of thought and investment went into every part of this building.”
The new headquarters sits at the intersection of Interstate 95 and the Massachusetts Turnpike. The site is also adjacent to a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority station and approximately 20 minutes from Logan International Airport.
