Convenience retailers continue to take a hard look at their loyalty programs this year as rising prices are putting pressure on consumers, many of whom are cutting back on spending.
A well-run loyalty program can bridge the gap with discounts and offers that drive visits while meeting customer needs. Still, while the majority of consumers say loyalty rewards matter, fewer than 50% use convenience store rewards programs, according to data from Upside.
Tweaks to existing programs can help retailers better serve customers and encourage greater adoption and use.
